Design and implementation of parallel algorithms for graph partitioning and repartitioning, sparsematrix ordering and process mapping and remapping onto massively parallel architectures. 

Software and digital technologies law (specialization in software licenses and patents).

Scotch : software environment for graph partitioning and repartitioning, clustering, sparse matrix ordering and process mapping and remapping onto massively parallel architectures.

PaMPA : library for parallel partitioning and parallel remeshing of distributed meshes for numerical simulations. Student advising :  3 theses defended  4 theses in progress  2 post-doc students advised  10+ master students advised

Graph and mesh partitioning

Expert in charge of partitioning methods in workgroup on numerical libraries, solvers and algorithms of the European FP7 EESI (European Exascale Software Initiative) project and of its sequel EESI-2

Participation in France-Brazil Inria-CNPq collaborative project HOSCAR in the field of computational sciences

Participation in Inria Project Lab (IPL) C2S@Exa on High Performance Computing, as co-coordinator of the workgroup on optimization of the performance of numerical solvers

Participation in French National Research Agency (ANR) projects : ANEMOS, PETALh, PETAL, Solstice, on graph partitioning aspects.  Invitations : Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Sandia National Laboratories, U. Berkeley, IBM Zürich, etc

Free/Libre and Open-Source Software

Expert commissioned by the Internal Organization of French-speaking countries (OIF, “Francophonie”) on matters related to digital technologies and economic and social development.

Last September, participated in a group of eight international experts,on behalf of OIF, the International Telecommunication Union, ICANN and ISOC to perform a strategic audit of the ITC sector in Chad, at the request of President Déby Itno, in N’djamena

Last December, published a book on software law, co-authored with law professor Sébastien Canevet : Droit des Logiciels, Presses universitaires de France, 616 p., ISBN 978-2-13-062615-2.

Co-founding member of the international Libre Software Meeting (LSM / RMLL).

Chairman of Aquinetic, a nonprofit organization for the promotion of innovative projects using opensource technologies so as to foster high-tech job creation in région Aquitaine.
